Oscar Umwanzisiwemuremyi is an environmentalist committed to sustainable resource management and pollution prevention. He holds a Master’s in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from IPB University, Indonesia, specializing in Environmental Change, Pollution and Disaster Management. He also has a Bachelor’s in Applied Chemistry from the University of Rwanda and a post-diploma in Wastewater and Drinking Water Treatment from the University of Genoa, Italy. His research focuses on plastic and air pollution. Since 2014, he has worked as a tour guide, acting museum manager, herpetologist, and currently serves as a museum curator, managing 17,000 artifacts at the Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy.
